No Strings Attached – A mini puppetry festival from around the world!
No Strings Attached is an annual mini international puppet festival organised by the Paper Monkey Theatre. The festival gathers reputable puppetry groups and artists from across the world. We have had the honour to host groups from countries such as Australia, Italy, Taiwan and Thailand.
This festival aims to promote puppetry to the Singapore young audiences by providing a platform for them to experience various forms of puppetry. The international and regional groups perform in mime or in English, and this makes it accessible for audiences to enjoy and understand puppetry as an artform. The Paper Monkey Theatre hopes to encourage interest and deepen the appreciation of the craft of puppetry through this exposure.
This year, our focus is on environmental conservation. All participating puppeteers either use recycled and reused materials to make their puppets or present performances with a green theme. Through puppetry performances, workshops, and simple storytelling, we aim to educate our children on the importance of saving our Mother Earth.

Other Information:
- All children must be accompanied by an adult/ a parent/ a carer and be fully supervised throughout the exploration in the Visual Arts Space and during the arts programme.
- The Artground is not liable for any injuries caused or incurred by visitors.
- Non-slip grip socks are mandatory for everyone entering the arts space. Socks will be available for sale $3/pair for those who do not have them.
- Participants have to exit The Artground once the performance is over to enable staff to clean and sanitise the space.
- All participants will be encouraged to sign up for an Artground account on our website
Admission Rules
Rating/Age Limit
- Admission is subject to tickets produced at the entrance.
- Infants in arms or children below 4 years old shall not be admitted.
- Children aged 4 years old and above must book tickets for admission.
Late Seating Advisory
- You are strongly advised to be seated before the performance start time.
- Latecomers will be admitted during suitable breaks, if any.
- Exceptions may be made at Paper Monkey Theatre's discretion depending on the nature of the performance.
Photography/Video Recording Rules
- No unauthorised photography, video and audio recording is allowed for this event.
- Please note that photographs and videos of patrons may be taken at this event for use in our archival and publicity material.
